Google checkout is a "pay-pal like" service that allows websites to accept payments with minimal effort. Nonprofits can use it to collect donations from supporters without having to set up a credit card merchant account.

This past Saturday (a cold, rainy, raw autumn day) my wife, kids and myself attended a 5K run to raise awareness and support the fight against AT (ataxia-telangiectasia ) - a rare degenerative children's disease that combines the symptoms of cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis and cancer. We reminded our kids that the cold weather was a small challenge and that Andrew (their 8 year old friend who has AT) faces much larger challenges every day.
